In case anyone was wondering, I updated my theme on here. That is why it might look different to you.

Here’s the story (there’s always a story).

My original concept for my logo was scales. Balanced=scales. Clever, yeah? I wanted something very simple, not specific to any one craft, much like the name. I was thinking just black and white.

But then, I thought, that’s a little too simple.

So, I went looking for themes. Maybe a wordpress theme would spark something?  Which is when I found my old theme… “Bluebird”.

I liked how the bird was balanced on the branch. Witty, I thought.

But then, THEN I discovered that Twitter (bleh) was using this very same image on their homepage. Couldn’t have that. And birds were showing up every freakin’ where. I needed to be unique. But, I still really liked the whole bird balancing on a branch idea. So I drew this up.

But I didn’t like the layout, so I did this.

Better. But, still not quite right. I was quickly getting sick of seeing birds everywhere. Soooo… I went back to my original idea, which I really liked but just needed to make work right for me.

Back to the drawing board. And voila!

Then I just had to find a simple theme to match and tada! I’m quite pleased with it. It’s simple. I find the colours calming and soothing and they’re some of my favourite colours.

p.s. It has nothing to do with the zodiac.
