Just popping in to wish you all a Happy Christmas!

I’ve got all my xmas orders shipped and I’m taking some time off for the holidays. I will be keeping my shop open, but I won’t be shipping again until Dec. 28.

Finally starting to resemble Fall outside my window. This makes me very happy.

Well, that was a lovely few weeks off! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a safe New Years Eve!!

A few weeks ago, I signed up for Lillyella’s Secret Santa gift exchange.

All of our mail has been delayed for a while now due to our strange weather, so I wasn’t expecting it to arrive before Christmas. But that is just fine with me, I like to drag out gift giving as long as possible. In fact, I’m still waiting on a few things the husband ordered for me from Etsy. That’s the only clue he gave me and it’s killin’ me. I have like 40 pages of favourites over there, so the suspense is almost too much.

Anyways, oh yes, from my secret santa I received the most comfy, squishy hand knitted cowl in easily one of my most favourite colours.

It’s just perfect. So me.

My secret santa is well, a secret, so I can’t tell you where it’s from, but I’m in love with it. Yes, it is possible to be in love with a cowl.

It is made with lovely Madelinetosh Hand Dyed Yarns and I swear it’s the softest thing I’ve ever had around my neck.

I haven’t heard yet if my recipient has received their gift from me. I had hoped they would get it before Christmas, but alas, that is out of my hands.

I love secret gift exchanges with perfect strangers. Don’t you?

I’d like to take a minute to thank, sincerely, each and every one of you who have supported me and my endeavours this past year. Be it through a purchase, a comment here on the blog, a sweet compliment. I appreciate them all.

I truly would not be where I am today without you.

It’s been hectic around here with the holidays coming up.

I planned to do absolutely nothing this weekend,  but plans don’t always work out. Oh wells.

The husband is requesting I go to a Rugby match with him tomorrow. He got free tickets and New Zealand is playing. He thought I would want to go because I’m a fan of their pre-game dance ritual thingy. ( Is there another name for that? I have no idea.) But, I know nothing about Rugby and I’m pretty sure the dancing doesn’t last for that long. We’ll see.

Anyway, Monday is our 5th wedding anniversary. 5th! I don’t know where that time went. It’s been a wonderful 5 years and I love him so, but the time is all a blur. This year especially has just flown by!

So… we will be having a nice long weekend together. Rugby pending.

I’m also just finishing up this photoshop e-course I’ve been taking and haven’t shared any pics here yet, so… here you go.

So, we took the train to Greystones. Got off and headed down to the beach.

We walked up and down the beach for about a mile looking for sea glass and shells.

Then we headed back into the town of Greystones for some coffee. We stopped at this cute little cafe, situated at the entrance of the cliffwalk, and had a big ol’ cappuccino and some apple pie. Was just the thing to re-energize us for the walk! Couple of health nuts, we are.

Then, off we were!

The cliffwalk itself is 8km. And it is a truly beautiful walk!

Once we got to Bray we stopped at this picnic bench to eat our sammiches and rest a minute.

The Bray promenade is just the cutest thing. I love all those brightly coloured buildings.

It was cooling down quite a bit by now, but we strolled along the beach again looking for more sea glass. I found all sorts of treasures, but I’m saving those for another post.

We were knackered by the time we got home, but it was a beautiful trip!

Anyway, we made some plans, but the weather has been horrible so we keep pushing them back. We have, however, had a lot of success out in the garden. During the small breaks of good weather.

It’s an easy peasy recipe, took about 5 minutes to throw all the ingredients together. That’s my kind of recipe!

I went with 3/4 cups of sugar and added some mini White Chocolate chips. It’s a good thing I took these photos of it when it came out of the oven because it’s all eaten up now!
