Process
I thought I’d give you a little peak at my process. This time creating one of my Geode Slice Necklaces.
I start by cutting a rough, free-form shape from sheet metal. I’m using snips instead of a saw for these.
Then I, of course, file, polish and usually hammer some texture into the piece.
Next, I pierce the metal so that I can weave into it. This is the first couple of rows done.
A few more rows added.
And finally, I make a clasp, attach the chain and voila! The finished piece!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little peak.
You can find this Blues Geode Slice Necklace now listed in the shop!
Busy Bee
So… I am terrible at keeping this blog updated. But, I do have good reasons. I’ve been very busy creating new item’s for the shop. I’ve got several new lines going at once, all of which I’m very pleased with and very excited about.

See you in another 3 months!

Happy Customer, Happy Designer
I’m dying.
No, not really dying. I am ecstatic!
First, a little background information.
I came up with these Lattice Ribbon Bracelets a while ago. I adored them, still do, but I was very unsure of how they would be received by people. You see, these bracelets do not have clasps. What? Yes. You simply tie the ends of the ribbons together.
Now, bracelets in general I think require some assistance to put on and take off. Yes I know of “bracelet buddies” and other little contraptions that are supposed to help, but it’s likely you will have to ask someone to assist you. Even with toggle clasps, the easiest of clasps to maneuvre, in my opinion. SO, I just wasn’t sure if people would take to the whole tying thing.
Am I rambling?
Ok.
So, I recently sold one of these Lattice Ribbon Bracelets to a lovely gal by the name of Amy, who informed me that she would be wearing it on the day of her wedding as an accent in her favourite colour. Love it!
I was thrilled to hear that. I mean I think all jewelry designers love to be a part of peoples weddings. It’s a very special thing. But, I was also thrilled to know that people were not put off by “no clasp bracelets”.
So I sent it off to Amy, wished her well and thanked her very much.
Then today… she sent me this.
Is Amy not the most beautiful bride ever?
She completely made my day with this. I am so thrilled to have been able to be a part of her special day.
AND I am so happy to know that she was pleased with her purchase from me. Thank you very, very much Amy!
Congratulations to you and your new hubby!
Beaded Bottles
I got these colourful bottles on Ebay a while ago with plans to do some beadweaving on them. I only recently (finally) got around to doing that.

I’m very pleased with how they turned out though. I’m not sure what to do with the red bottle yet. It has an interesting, yet difficult to bead around, star shape. The tall orange bottle I did in Peyote Stitch with orange and peach coloured seed beads in a striped pattern. On the small round bottle I did some more Peyote Stitch and then a bit of Net Stitch for ruffles in the same colours. I’m open to suggestions for the red bottle.

I considered putting these up for sale too, but I rather like them.
