For today’s Artist Spot we’re keeping it local!

Iris O’Connor is a very talented artist/photographer/mixed media artist based here in Dublin, Ireland.

She says about her work, “Creating something or painting or taking photographs has always been part of me and over the years I have experimented with a few different styles and techniques. I think I can say that for the moment I have found my ‘niche’ with photography and mixed media. I especially like the term ‘mixed media’ as it can be anything you want it to be as long as you use a few ingredients together.”

I love it too! And I think you do a beautiful job Iris.

Whew! Christmas is over!

I didn’t realize it had been so long since I’ve posted here. Been pretty busy I guess and I must admit, I am extremely relieved that Christmas is over. Hope you all had a nice one at any rate.

One of the best things that I received was a voucher for Dawanda from my lovely husband. He did good.

I spent most of it (yes, I’ve spent the whole thing already) on supplies, but I also picked up this cute little item for my desk in my newly created “craft room”. Check it out.

This is my first beaded ornament this Christmas. I did a ton of these a few Christmas’ ago and gave them as gifts. I really like the theme of this one though.
