New look, new packaging

I haven’t discussed this here yet, but I’ve recently made the decision to change my branding. I’ve got a new logo for my shops and I’m in the process of changing my packaging/colour scheme. Next, hopefully this weekend, is the blog!

To help with this I recently acquired a bunch of new packaging supplies from the super lovely, The Gilded Bee on Etsy. She has such a wonderful shop, I could seriously spend all day in there!

Here are a few things that I got…

( I got some of her cute, wee flowers, too. But, I put them on display in my studio already and they didn’t get into the photo. )

If you are looking for some super cute packaging supplies, from a very sweet seller, I highly recommend The Gilded Bee! She also writes a beautiful blog, be sure to check that out as well!

Monday Moodboard – Rainy Day

We’ve been experiencing a lot of summer rain recently.

In Ireland? No way!

This has inspired today’s moodboard.

One thing I do enjoy about the rain? It brings out the tiny little froggies from their hiding.

Monday Moodboard – Colour

I think this calls for colour this Monday.

Finally…

I purchased at least one print for the studio.

It’s not even one of the ones I was trying to decide between, I just happened upon it. But, I’m so glad I did because I just love it!

It’s called Schismata and it’s by Justice of  Photosynthetic on Etsy, a wonderfully talented photographer from Ipswich in the UK.

The description and inspiration Justice used helped to seal the deal for me.

“Another study of a man-made surface in a state of decay and deterioration under the forces of nature, ‘Schismata’ is dilapidated paint on steel, corrosion, a lichen bloom…geometric and organic in counterpoint. Striation, erosion, disintegration, reconstruction, protection, addition…and the process of destruction over which we ultimately have no control.”

Now I must go find the perfect place for it!
